In the 1930s, landscape architects transformed a neglected, overgrown island into Theodore Roosevelt Island, a memorial to America’s 26th president. They cultivated a forest that mimics the natural forest that once covered the island, prior to its use as farmland. Today miles of trails honor the legacy of a great outdoorsman and conservationist.

Teddy & The Bully Bar, Friends of Teddy Roosevelt Island and the U.S. National Park Service are pleased to present a Happy Hour @ Teddy to benefit Theodore Roosevelt Island this Wednesday October 18 from 5-7pm.
It was only fitting when the Friends of Theodore Roosevelt Island contacted us to host a benefit for DC’s most unique presidential memorial, Theodore Roosevelt Island. It is only fitting, as 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial at TRI, established in 1967.
