It’s apropos to celebrate Rosh Hashanah with Teddy. As the 26th president of the United States, Roosevelt was the first president to appoint a Jewish cabinet member, Secretary of Commerce and Labor Oscar Solomon Straus, who served from 1906 to 1909. Celebrate his legacy of inclusion by dining with us this Rosh Hashanah.

Traditional and symbolic foods for Rosh Hashanah include apples with honey, dates, spinach, Gefilte fish, pomegranate, and challah bread. Corporate Executive Chef Demetrio Zavala has included allof these – with modern twists, of course! – into three courses of prix-fixe plates offered at our restaurant. (And yum – our Rosh Hashanah menu includes dessert!) Dishes like Gefilte FishMatzoh Ball Soup; and an Apple & Caramel Sundae will hearken back to your family’s traditional meal. Join us around the table for Rosh Hashanah – all are welcome!

Just like our seasonal farm-to-table menus, our Rosh Hashanah menu features local food and produce of the best quality. We pay special attention to our local producers, bringing you the freshest fare available for a Jewish New Year celebration at our restaurant. It’s going to be delicious – view the full menu here.

But don’t take our word for it – our Rosh Hashanah menu has been featured in Eater DCWashingtonian and more. We’ve been doing this at both Teddy & The Bully Bar and sister restaurants for years, and some say we have the best Washington DC and DMV area celebration for the Jewish New Year!
