History + Culinary Delight: The Examiner Covers Restaurant Week

Blog, Press, Restaurant Week - Washington DC

dining-bitchesWe were so pleased to have Samentha Moore of the DC Examiner cover Restaurant Week at Teddy & The Bully Bar in her piece History + Culinary Delight.

Thanks for the press!

Her piece covers several little-known facts about the restaurant, including the red napkins in our Elkhorn Room: did you know each table has one red cloth napkin to represent the Rough Riders and the red scarfs they wore on their necks?

She praised the many ingredients we make in-house, including our house-pickled vegetables, homemade breads, cornbread muffin purée, and ice cream – and covered many of our star drinks and dishes including Lobster Hushpuppies, Ed Rich Farm Corn on the Cob, Crispy Kale & Brussels Sprouts, Coffee BBQ Virginia Pork Ribs, Mac & Cheese – Strawberry Mint Julep, Barrel #4 The Lion, and our Blueberry Lemonade. Read her full review here.

“If a place full of character and history is something on your radar, this should be one of the first places you go,” says Moore. “If you cannot make it in for dinner, brunch is offered on Sundays as well.”
